Ohio Approves 140MW Mink Solar Project in Defiance, Paulding Counties

The Power Siting Board (OPSB) has granted approval for Mink , LLC to develop a 140-megawatt (MW) solar-powered generating facility in Defiance and Paulding counties.

Spearheaded by Geenex Solar, this marks a critical advancement in renewable energy for the state.

Spanning approximately 1,050 acres within the village of Hicksville and Hicksville Township in Defiance County and Carryall Township in Paulding County, the project will deploy solar arrays on tracking racks to optimize energy output. The total project footprint covers about 1,800 acres.

Emily Williams, CEO of Geenex Solar, celebrated the approval: “This step brings us closer to delivering renewable energy to the communities of Defiance and Paulding counties. will play a key role in expanding Ohio's energy mix while fostering economic growth through job creation and enhanced local tax revenues.”
