EIB Provides EUR 80 Million Loan to Puspok Group for Agrivoltaic Projects in Austria

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has announced an EUR 80 million (USD 84.2 million) loan to Puspok Group, an Austrian family-owned renewables developer, to support its agrivoltaic () and storage projects in eastern Austria.

This financing is complemented by a EUR 43 million loan from Austrian lender Erste Group Bank AG, with EUR 28 million of this sum being refinanced by the EIB.

The funds will be used to construct six agrivoltaic solar farms in the state of Burgenland, totaling 257 MWp. The project will also include a battery system (BESS) with a capacity of 4.1 MW/8.6 MWh.

The farms will be built in the towns of Nickelsdorf, Parndorf, Gattendorf, and Monchhof, with construction expected to be completed by mid-2026.

Once operational, the plants will benefit from Austria's feed-in premium schemes, further supporting the country's goals and contributing to the integration of clean energy into the national grid.
