Japanese utility JERA Co Inc has finalized the sale of its 49% stake in the VSPP solar power generation project in Thailand, which has a contract capacity exceeding 30 MW.
The shares were acquired by Thailand-based utility Gunkul Engineering Public Company Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
The portfolio comprises six solar power plants spread across three Thai provinces. JERA stated that the divestment aligns with its strategy of portfolio renewal, where proceeds from asset sales are reinvested to optimize and expand its energy initiatives.
