Norwegian electrolyser manufacturer HydrogenPro AS has formed an exclusive partnership with the J Heinr Kramer Group (JHK), a German industrial plant construction and engineering firm, to collaborate on the implementation of green hydrogen projects in Germany, Austria, and the Benelux countries. The partnership aims to develop hydrogen projects with capacities ranging from 5 MW to 50 MW.
The collaboration will combine HydrogenPro's high-pressured alkaline electrolyser technology with JHK's expertise in plant integration and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC).
This partnership will allow the two companies to address the growing demand for smaller-scale green hydrogen projects, which are becoming increasingly important as the energy transition gains momentum in Europe.
HydrogenPro's CEO, Jarle Dragvik, explained, “HydrogenPro is primarily addressing large-scale hydrogen projects, but we recognize that parts of the market are entering the energy transition with initial smaller-scale projects. JHK brings the necessary know-how to apply our advanced technology in these smaller hydrogen projects in the European market.”
HydrogenPro, which has been producing electrolysers since 2013, is already working with Andritz AG on large-scale projects, with Andritz also holding a share in the company.
JHK, established in 1901 in Bremerhaven, is a family-owned business with a global presence, engaged in various fields including pipeline construction, steel, and electrical plant construction.
