Compagnie de Saint-Gobain SA has entered into a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Canadian renewable energy producer Boralex Inc. for the procurement of solar and wind power from three plants in France.
The agreement covers two solar power facilities and one wind farm, expected to generate 110 GWh of clean electricity annually once operational.
The plants are set to begin operations between Q1 2026 and Q1 2027. Boralex, which has an installed capacity of over 3 GW and a project pipeline nearing 6.7 GW across wind, solar, and energy storage, will provide renewable energy as part of Saint-Gobain's ongoing efforts to decarbonise its operations globally.
This partnership adds to Saint-Gobain's growing list of renewable power agreements, which also includes deals with TotalEnergies, OMV Petrom, and Axpo Holding earlier this year.
