PNE has been awarded €190,000 in EU to support its Cross Border Pomeranian Green Cluster initiative in , aimed at connecting hydrogen production to the European hydrogen network. Selected alongside Polish and German gas network operators GAZ-SYSTEM and GASCADE, the project received backing from the European Climate, and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program.

The initiative, managed by PNE's Polish subsidiary Sevivon, involves developing 2 GW of wind and solar capacity in Poland's West Pomeranian Voivodeship to power two 500 MW electrolysers. The goal is to generate green hydrogen for hard-to-electrify industries such as steel and chemicals, supporting decarbonization.

PNE's CEO remarked, “We are pleased to announce another milestone for one of the largest green hydrogen production initiatives in Europe. With this project, we aim to significantly advance green hydrogen deployment and enhance independent energy security.”

The funding supports feasibility studies on connecting electrolysers to Poland's national hydrogen network and establishing cross-border links between Poland and Germany. This development combines PNE's production capability with strategic infrastructure, facilitating cost-effective distribution and broader market adoption of green hydrogen.
