Eni Plenitude Launches 5-MW Bouillac Solar Farm in France

Eni SpA, the Italian renewable energy producer, has initiated operations at its new 5-MW farm in Bouillac, France, marking an addition to its renewable energy portfolio in the country.

The Bouillac plant is expected to produce around 6,700 MWh of annually, which will be marketed as part of Plenitude's integrated energy business.

The solar farm is located on a rehabilitated clay quarry, blending into the landscape by being hidden from view with surrounding trees.

Mariangiola Mollicone, Plenitude's Head of Western Renewables and Managing Director for France and , described the project as a milestone that demonstrates the company's dedication to leveraging France's renewable energy potential. “This project…testifies to our growth objectives in the French market,” Mollicone stated.

Plenitude currently has over 700 MW of projects in development across France, with 120 MW already in operation, and aims to reach a global installed capacity of 8 GW by 2027.
