has commenced tendering for 800 MW of solar capacity under its Resources Zone (YEKA) initiative, building on a recent auction for 1,200 MW of wind.

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced that six photovoltaic projects—ranging from 40 MW to 385 MW—will be developed across Konya, Karaman, Malatya, Van, Antalya, and Kutahya.

For the tender, the ceiling price is set at USD 0.055 per kWh, with a minimum base of USD 0.0325 per kWh. Once the base price is reached, the initial contribution margin will increase by USD 10,000 per MW. Offers will be accepted until January 27, 2025.

The selected projects will receive a minimum guaranteed price for the first five years of operation, after which they will receive a fixed price for 20 years.

Projects must also incorporate locally manufactured PV components. This tender follows Turkey's recent bid round for 1,200 MW of wind energy and aligns with its broader goal of reaching 120 GW of combined wind and solar capacity by 2035 through annual YEKA tenders of 2 GW.
