Cadeler Secures Major Contracts for East Anglia 2 Offshore Wind Project

has signed firm contracts valued at €360–382 million for the transportation and installation of 64 wind turbines and their foundations for the 960-MW East Anglia 2 (EA2) offshore wind project. Developed by ScottishPower Renewables, part of the Group, EA2 will be located off England's East Coast in the .

Offshore works are scheduled to start in 2027, utilizing one of Cadeler's new A-class vessels alongside an O-class from its existing fleet. This project marks a step forward in the UK's offshore wind sector, following the UK government's latest auction announcement in September 2024 that earmarked capacity for the £4 billion EA2 development.

Mikkel Gleerup, CEO of Cadeler, said, “This project underlines that our strategic decisions are in sync with our customers' needs and the demands that we see in the market.” He highlighted Cadeler's readiness with six newbuilds aimed at supporting complex offshore projects and underscored the company's role in driving the offshore wind transition.

Charlie Jordan, CEO of ScottishPower Renewables, added, “Following our recent auction success, we've been moving with pace and purpose to confirm the supply chain for East Anglia TWO, so it's great to have Cadeler on board supporting this vital clean energy project, which will power almost one million homes with green electricity.”

EA2 forms part of ScottishPower's broader offshore wind operations in East Anglia, which also includes an operational wind farm and another project under construction.
