Virya Energy Acquires French Solar Firm Sunopee, Expands in C&I Solar Sector

Belgium-based renewable energy company NV has acquired , a French installer and power producer, to strengthen its presence in 's commercial and industrial (C&I) solar market.

Sunopee, previously owned by French civil engineering group Leon Grosse, manages a pipeline of nearly 100 MWp in advanced solar projects with an additional 300 MWp under development.

Virya Energy's enables it to expand its offerings within the French renewable energy sector and increase its technical solutions in the C&I rooftop segment. “The addition of Sunopee to Virya Energy is an excellent opportunity for both companies,” stated Virya Energy CEO Paul Tummers.

In line with the acquisition, Virya Energy plans to retain the Sunopee team and transition the brand under its own name. Sunopee will continue as the preferred partner for Leon Grosse's PV projects, with both companies exploring synergies for joint ventures as part of a long-term strategic partnership. Financial specifics of the transaction were not disclosed.
