Smulders Nears Completion of Transition Piece Production for 3.6GW Dogger Bank Offshore Project

has started production of the final transition piece (TP) for the , a major wind complex off the east coast of England.

The 3.6GW project, developed by SSE, , and Vargronn, is the largest of its kind and is set to be constructed in three phases. Production takes place at Smulders' facility in Hoboken, Belgium.

The Smulders-Sif consortium has been responsible for manufacturing 277 TPs and monopiles since March 2021. Foundation installations began on B in May, with completion of all three phases expected by 2026.

Smulders expressed pride in contributing to the landmark project, stating, “Together, we are manufacturing a sustainable world.”
