Polenergia and Equinor Secure Vessels for Baltyk Offshore Wind Projects

Polish energy firm , in partnership with Norway's Equinor, has secured vessel charters for its Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 wind farms in the .

The agreements, signed separately for each project, involve Copenhagen-based Northern Offshore Services and UK-based Njord Offshore, with each providing two crew transport vessels to support construction and early operations.

The charters for Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 are set to begin in the second quarter of 2026 and the third quarter of 2027, respectively, with three-year terms and options for extension.

The estimated cost for the charters is EUR 13.5 million for Baltyk 2 and EUR 13.8 million for Baltyk 3, with potential extensions adding up to EUR 30 million in total for both projects.

Each project will have a capacity of 720 MW and is expected to start generating power by 2027, with full operational status projected for 2028.

Polenergia and Equinor are also partnering on the 1.56-GW project, located 81 km off 's Baltic coast.
