Indian renewable power provider Serentica Renewables has announced plans to develop 10 GW of round-the-clock renewable energy projects in Andhra Pradesh.
This commitment was made during a meeting with Lokesh Nara, the state's minister of IT, electronics and communication, human resources development, and real-time governance.
Serentica's initiative aligns with the local government's goal to achieve 72 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. The company expressed enthusiasm about contributing to this ambitious plan, emphasizing its potential to harness Andhra Pradesh's renewable resources while also creating significant employment opportunities.
Founded in 2022 and backed by US private equity firm KKR & Co., Serentica specializes in solar, wind, energy storage, and balancing solutions.
Currently, the company has around 4,000 MW of projects under development, which includes 2,550 MW of solar and 1,400 MW of wind energy projects.
