Sonnedix Inaugurates 21MW Solar Cluster in Poland’s Podlasie Region

Sonnedix has inaugurated a 21MW cluster in the Podlasie region of north-east , marking a significant milestone in its expansion into the country. The WD Cluster is expected to produce approximately 24,500MWh of renewable energy annually when fully operational later this year. This project reinforces Sonnedix's commitment to supporting Poland's transition to clean energy.

Sonnedix entered the Polish market in early 2022 through its of solar developer Sun Power Energy, gaining a development pipeline of over 1GW. This new solar cluster is part of the company's efforts to expand its presence in the country.

Justyna Nesteruk, head of growth for Sonnedix Poland, highlighted the importance of the achievement: “The three projects with a combined capacity of 21MW will play an important role in bringing more clean energy to Poland, while also supporting the local community.”

Sonnedix CEO emphasized the company's dedication to Poland's clean energy goals, noting that “Poland is a new market for Sonnedix and we believe solar will play an important role in helping the country meet its clean energy goals.”

In addition to generating renewable energy, the WD Cluster will contribute to local by creating habitats for native animals and improving soil health. The project is also expected to support the local economy through tax revenues, benefiting the surrounding communities.

The inauguration ceremony took place at Wdziękoń Drugi, with representatives from local authorities and Sonnedix's management team present to officially open the solar cluster.
