Germany Inaugurates Its Largest Floating Solar PV System on Philippsee

On October 21, 2024, officially inaugurated its largest floating (PV) system at Philippsee, an event attended by Minister-President Winfried Kretschmann and State Secretary Dr. Franziska Brantner. This initiative marks a significant step in the country's efforts.

The floating system utilizes unused water bodies to generate clean energy, contributing to Germany's renewable energy targets. Additionally, the installation helps reduce water evaporation from the lake's surface.
