Spanish engineering firm RPow and Polish energy solutions provider ASE Group have established a joint venture named Wulkan Energy, headquartered in Seville, Spain, to cater to the growing green hydrogen industry. The new company aims to provide services across the Iberian Peninsula, Europe, and globally.
Cesar Martin-Montalvo, CEO of RPow, emphasized that this partnership will leverage both companies' strengths and expertise to tap into the substantial EU investments in green hydrogen development, particularly in the Iberian region.
Wulkan Energy will focus on developing and implementing hydrogen production solutions. The venture will combine ASE's experience in green hydrogen projects from Central and Northern Europe with RPow's insights into the Spanish energy market. The company plans to offer a wide range of services, including project design, implementation, and consultancy on energy efficiency and clean technology adoption.
Dariusz Jaochowicz, founder and chairman of ASE Group, noted that this collaboration represents an opportunity to advance energy technologies that emphasize research and innovation, addressing the market's demand for experienced companies dedicated to excellence.
Seville was selected as the base for Wulkan Energy due to its reputation as a renewable energy and green hydrogen hub, along with its potential to attract talent in these sectors. Earlier this year, RPow announced a partnership with H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies in Seville, which aims to demonstrate continuous hydrogen production using renewable energy and thermal energy storage—a key area of expertise for RPow.
