's Federal Network Agency has confirmed that the capacity for the upcoming wind tender will remain at 4,094 MW, following the first oversubscribed auction of 2024.

Interested bidders have until November 4 to submit their proposals, with a maximum price set at EUR 0.0735 per kWh.

The German Wind Energy Association (BWE) welcomed the decision, noting that 2024 is shaping up to be a record year for wind energy tenders.

With 6,897 MW already awarded, BWE president Baerbel Heidebroek expressed optimism that if participation remains high, total awards could reach around 10 GW by year-end, aligning with government targets.

Earlier this year, the country's first three tender rounds awarded projects with a combined capacity of 6,897 MW.
