CleanChoice Energy has acquired a 29.42-MW solar project in Kylertown, Pennsylvania, from developer Prospect14, marking the company's second fully-owned and operated solar asset.
Covering 150 acres, the Kylertown project is set to enter construction in the fourth quarter of 2024, with operations expected to begin in October 2025.
Once completed, the facility will connect to the PJM electric grid and is projected to generate enough electricity to power over 5,100 homes.
Zoe Gamble, president of CleanChoice Energy, highlighted that this project will double the company's solar generation capacity and demonstrate the potential for renewable energy to benefit local communities and wildlife.
Last year, CleanChoice Energy announced its first solar project in Blairs Valley, Pennsylvania, which is nearing completion and is anticipated to power the equivalent of 4,500 homes.
