Ashtrom Renewable Energy Launches 306-MW Tierra Bonita Solar Park in Texas Ahead of Schedule

Israel's , part of the Ashtrom Group, has successfully brought online its 306-megawatt (MW) / 400-MW DC Tierra Bonita solar park in , achieving commissioning ahead of schedule.

The developer announced the plant was energized earlier than planned due to obtaining the necessary approvals for commercial operations sooner than anticipated.

Located in Pecos County, Texas, the photovoltaic (PV) farm spans approximately 2,200 acres and has recently secured green loan . The facility will operate under a power purchase agreement (PPA) with , which has committed to purchasing 60% of the electricity generated. The remaining power will be sold on the free market.

Tierra Bonita is expected to produce enough electricity annually to meet the consumption needs of about 75,000 homes. The project was realized with an investment of USD 435 million (EUR 396.8 million), including USD 165 million in equity.

Additionally, Ashtrom has completed a Tax Credit Transfer Agreement for solar production tax credits (PTCs) under the (IRA).
