Sany has successfully installed its self-developed 15MW onshore wind turbine, the SI-270150, in Tongyu, Jilin Province, .

This installation marks a significant milestone, setting two new global records for the largest single-unit capacity and the largest rotor diameter for onshore wind turbines.

The SI-270150, part of Sany's flagship 12.X-16.X MW platform, features an impressive rotor diameter of 270 meters and blade lengths of 131 meters.

With a maximum swept area of 57,256 square meters, a single unit can generate enough electricity to power 160,000 households for an entire year. Designed for longevity, the turbine boasts an extended lifespan of 25 to 30 years.

Incorporating advanced technologies, the SI-270150 employs a lightweight design and intelligent load reduction systems to decrease overall load and facilitate long-distance land transportation.

Its drivetrain features a dual TRB integrated main shaft support system, ensuring high load-bearing capacity and stability.
