Axess Technologies has been awarded a cable installation contract by HSM Offshore Energy for the ambitious 1,060 MW Thor offshore wind farm, situated off the Danish west coast.
The scope of work encompasses project management, engineering, and the pulling, terminating, and testing of internal platform cables into the Thor offshore substation topside, which includes both 66 kV and 275 kV cable systems. This task is essential for ensuring the substation can effectively manage and distribute the electricity generated by the wind turbines.
Work on the project is set to begin in the first quarter of 2025 at HSM's Schiedam Yard in the Netherlands.
Axess Technologies' business development manager noted that this marks the first contract awarded to the company by HSM in the Netherlands. The manager expressed enthusiasm about collaborating on this project, highlighting that securing the contract and earning HSM's trust underscores Axess Technologies' capabilities in this sector.
