In the first half of 2024, EnviTec demonstrated a strong performance across all business segments, reflecting a return to normalcy after the highly successful years of 2022 and 2023, particularly in the Own Plant Operation segment. Despite this normalization, the company noted a dynamic trend across all segments compared to previous years.

Total output for the first six months reached €181.6 million, slightly down from €188.7 million in H1 2023. However, sales revenues for the Group rose to €179.4 million, surpassing the previous year's €142.0 million, primarily due to a surge in invoiced projects within the Plant Construction segment. This growth contrasted with a decline in work in progress, particularly in plants under construction, amounting to €12.3 million.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) for the period stood at €39.6 million, down from €47.8 million in H1 2023. This figure included results from at-equity investments totaling €1.7 million, compared to €6.6 million in the same period last year. Earnings before taxes (EBT) were reported at €28.6 million, a decrease from €39.2 million in H1 2023, while consolidated net profit fell to €23.2 million from €33.3 million.

Earnings per share were €1.57, down from €2.24 in the prior year. The decline in profitability compared to the previous period is primarily attributed to one-time effects in trading, which were not repeated at a similar scale this financial year.

Jörg Fischer, Chief Financial Officer of EnviTec Biogas, stated, “The current business trend is not only in line with our plans but above all reflects the successful operational and strategic development of our Group over the past years. Our business volume and profitability are clearly above the level of earlier years. We want to continue on this growth track, both internationally and in . In our home market, we therefore invest a total of around €150 million in new plants and jobs.”
