Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners Launches Baldur Power for Onshore Renewable Energy Projects in Germany

Copenhagen Partners () has unveiled a new platform dedicated to renewable energy projects in . Called , the company will concentrate on the development and implementation of solar PV, wind, and battery storage projects, as well as planning, procurement, logistics, engineering, and construction management.

Baldur Power will also have access to an in-house fleet of equipment, critical for the realization of solar PV projects. The platform is part of CIP's dedicated strategy of investing in growth platforms, and its Flagship Funds will provide the initial capital for project development and the growth of Baldur Power.

Radu Gruescu, Partner at CIP, said: “We are excited about the prospects of Baldur Power and the opportunity to create, over time, an established developer and owner of renewable energy projects in Germany.”

The ultimate goal is to establish Baldur as an independent power producer, owning both operational projects and a growing pipeline of projects under construction and in development. To that end, CIP intends to provide the necessary capital for the construction of the projects developed by the company.

Baldur Power is based in Hamburg and will play a significant role in Germany's transition to renewable energy. Watson Farley & Williams LLP acted as a legal advisor to CIP.
