The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has awarded Blix Consultancy, in partnership with dGB Earth Sciences and GEO2 Engineering, the contract for soil site characterisation work for the Doordewind Wind Farm Zone (WFZ). The information gathered will be used for future tendering and development of the area.
The tender required a team of experts, including a lead expert, to optimise the interface between RVO, specialist experts, and future contractors. The team will provide geophysical, geotechnical, morphodynamical, and ground modelling expert support throughout the various stages of the project.
Jeroen Godtschalk, Senior Consultant for offshore wind at Blix Consultancy, expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity, saying: “As we have already been working with RVO for almost 10 years, we are excited to continue to move the offshore wind business forward together. We believe in providing quality expert support, and our team is ready to bring all their experience into the preparations of this new Wind Farm Zone.”
Blix Consultancy has been involved in offshore wind projects in the Netherlands since the industry's inception, and the team brings a wealth of experience to the project. They have a reputation for providing expert support, and this contract demonstrates their expertise in the field.
The partnership with dGB Earth Sciences and GEO2 Engineering will ensure a comprehensive understanding of the site conditions at Doordewind WFZ. This information will be essential for the successful development of the wind farm zone, and the team is committed to providing the best possible support to RVO and future contractors.
The partnership between RVO, Blix Consultancy, dGB Earth Sciences, and GEO2 Engineering is a significant step forward in the development of the Doordewind Wind Farm Zone. With their combined expertise, the team is well-equipped to provide the detailed site characterisation required for the project's success.
