Vestas has received a 41-megawatt (MW) turbine order from Green Mind Ventures, a subsidiary of GreenVolt, for the Barranco del Agua 2 and Carrugueiro wind parks in Spain. The order includes the supply and installation of six V163-4.5MW turbines and three V136-4.5MW turbines. Additionally, the agreement covers a 20-year Active Output Management (AOM 4000) service contract.
“We are glad to see how the versatility of our 4MW platform portfolio continues to suit our customers' needs in Spain,” said Vestas Country Manager in Spain, José Luis del Cerro. He emphasized the company's market-leading grid integration performance, adding, “We sincerely thank Green Mind Ventures for placing their trust in Vestas.”
The turbines are expected to be delivered by the second quarter of 2025, with commissioning scheduled for the last quarter of the same year.
Vestas has a long history in Spain, having installed its first turbine in the country in 1991. Since then, the company has accumulated over 5.2 gigawatts (GW) of installed capacity across Spain.
