Taipei has allocated a total of 2.7GW across five projects in its latest offshore wind auction, according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).
Local developer Shinfox secured a 700MW capacity for its Youde project, while Synera Renewable Energy Group (SRE) received an 800MW allocation for its Formosa 6 project. Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners was awarded 600MW for the Fengmiao 2 project. Additionally, the Formosa 3 joint venture by Corio and TotalEnergies obtained a 360MW capacity, and Enervest's Deshuai project was granted 240MW.
Notably, Orsted's 570MW Greater Changhua 3 proposal was absent from the awards list despite being ranked third in the previous month's rankings by Taipei.
