Per Hornung Pedersen Appointed Interim CEO of PNE AG Amid Leadership Transition

German renewables developer and wind power producer  has appointed as interim CEO, effective August 1, 2024. Hornung Pedersen, currently the chairman of PNE's supervisory board, will serve as CEO until a permanent replacement is found, with his interim term running until March 31, 2025.

Marc van't Noordende, a member of the supervisory board, will assume the role of board chairman on an interim basis following Hornung Pedersen's move. The search for a new CEO to succeed Markus Lesser, who is stepping down due to personal reasons on July 31, 2024, is advancing, according to PNE.

Additionally, Roland Stanze, the current division head and executive vice president, has been appointed as management board member and chief operating officer (COO), effective August 1, 2024.

In a separate development, PNE has announced the commissioning of two new wind farms in . The company has added seven turbines, totaling 42.6 MW, at the Schenklengsfeld and Heidmoor wind farms.

This increase has brought PNE's operational wind power capacity to 412.1 MW. The new projects include three Siemens SG155 turbines at Schenklengsfeld in Hesse and six Vestas turbines at Heidmoor in Schleswig-Holstein.

PNE's new wind farms are expected to provide enough electricity for 31,300 households. The company's portfolio now includes a total capacity of 55.8 MW from the newly commissioned plants.

PNE aims to have 1.5 GW of wind and solar capacity in operation or under construction by 2027, with nine wind parks totaling 226 MW currently under development.
