R.Power Renewables Launches Second Solar Farm in Portugal

company Renewables has announced the commissioning of a 4.8-megawatt-peak (MWp) photovoltaic (PV) farm in , marking its second solar project in the Iberian country.

The new solar park is situated on a 9-hectare (22.2-acre) site in Serta City, located in the Castelo Branco district. The facility features over 8,600 bifacial PV modules and is projected to produce 8.4 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity annually, sufficient to supply approximately 3,300 households.

The output from the PV plant will be sold under a power purchase agreement (PPA) with an undisclosed offtaker. The plant was constructed by Polish firm , while Nomad Electric Services will manage its operation and maintenance.

R.Power Renewables had previously commissioned its first solar park in Portugal in May of this year. With this new project, the company now has a total capacity of 13.2 MWp in Portugal. R.Power plans to expand its portfolio further, with six additional projects aimed at increasing its domestic power capacity to 70 MWp.
