Vestas has clinched a 50MW order from Elawan Energy for its EnVentus turbine platform, slated for multiple wind projects across Spain. The contract encompasses the delivery and installation of five V162-6.2MW turbines along with three units in 6.4MW power mode. Additionally, Vestas will provide a 25-year service agreement.
“We appreciate Elawan's confidence in Vestas' technology and service solutions,” stated Jose Luis del Cerro, General Manager of Vestas Spain. “This order underscores the adaptability of our EnVentus platform for the Spanish market. Its versatile power rating and advanced converter technology ensure the reliability necessary for developing new wind projects in the region.”
Turbine delivery is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2025, with commissioning expected during the second and third quarters of the same year. Vestas has a robust presence in Spain, having installed over 5.3GW of wind energy across more than 140 wind parks since its entry into the market in 1991.
