Clearvise, under its ClearPartners initiative, is set to expand its solar footprint in Italy with two new projects following the successful launch of a 16.1MW site in Sardinia earlier this year. The new solar parks, totaling 14.2MW in capacity, will be situated south of Rome in Lazio, on repurposed quarries previously used for gravel and sand.
Both projects are currently undergoing environmental and regulatory approvals necessary for construction to proceed. Clearvise anticipates breaking ground on the first 7.6MW solar park in the first quarter of 2025, with completion slated for summer the same year. The second project, boasting a planned capacity of 6.6MW, is scheduled to commence construction shortly thereafter, expected to last approximately four months.
Clearvise's CEO, Petra Leue-Bahns, highlighted the company's rapid advancement in the Italian market since the beginning of the year, emphasizing their strategic alignment with regulatory changes concerning solar project approvals.
“We have backed the right horse together with our cooperation partner with quarries and industrial areas,” Leue-Bahns remarked, underscoring Clearvise's collaborative approach through ClearPartners.
