VSB Group to Construct 60MW Solar Project in Sicily

has announced plans to commence construction on its inaugural photovoltaic venture in , marking a significant step towards 's renewable energy ambitions. The Ramacca ground-mounted solar plant, boasting a capacity of 60MWp, will be situated within the Catania metropolitan area.

Scheduled for commissioning in 2025, the project will unfold across a sprawling 100-hectare expanse in Ramacca, strategically located southwest of Catania. Upon completion, the photovoltaic park is projected to yield approximately 117,000MWh annually, sufficient to power about 40,000 typical households.

, managing director of VSB Italy, emphasized the company's robust portfolio, stating, “The VSB Italy team presently oversees 1.8GW of wind and photovoltaic projects in various stages of development. Ramacca stands as a testament to our proficiency in large-scale PV project execution.”
