Ferrari Partners with Enel X to Build Solar Energy Plant Near Test Track

, the iconic Italian sports car manufacturer, has announced a new partnership with , the division of energy giant Enel, to build a one megawatt peak (MWp) energy plant near its Fiorano test track. The Ferrari Energy Community, which is expected to have an annual average production capacity of about 1,500 megawatt hours (MWh), is set to be completed by the end of this year.

The solar plant will provide green energy to the local community, including citizens, institutions, commercial activities, and factories. Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna said that the project “can accelerate the process of decarbonisation while reducing the cost of energy for citizens and businesses”. The initiative is part of Ferrari's ambitious plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and unveil its first fully-electric car in 2025.
