Vestas Completes Installation of V236-15.0MW Offshore Turbine in Denmark’s Port of Thyboron

, a prominent Danish manufacturer, has achieved a significant milestone with the finalization of its flagship V236-15.0MW turbine installation at the Port of Thyboron, located in north-west .

In a statement, the company expressed its satisfaction, stating, “Today, the turbine successfully produced its first kWh of power – a crucial step in our final verification campaign. We are ramping up serial production before starting the installation of the first offshore projects featuring the V236-15.0 MW turbine.”

The installation follows the announcement of the order in March, which also encompasses a 20-year AOM4000 service agreement.

Prior to this installation, Vestas had deployed a prototype of the turbine at the Osterild National test center in Denmark. Firm orders for units for offshore projects in , Poland, and the have been secured by the company. Installation of the first turbines offshore is scheduled to commence from 2025.
