Chinese renewable energy manufacturer Windey has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japanese trading giant Marubeni Corporation, marking a collaborative stride in renewable energy ventures. The agreement follows a visit by Windey's chairman, Gao Ling, to Japan, where discussions were held with Marubeni power division's executive officer and chief operating officer, Satoru Harada, among other executives.
Both entities showcased their respective developmental accomplishments and future strategies during the visit, acknowledging their prior collaboration in Saudi Arabia. Harada emphasized the synergies in experiences and corporate ethos between the two companies, suggesting potential complementarity in their developmental strengths.
Gao Ling expressed Windey's anticipation for exploring novel avenues of collaboration with Marubeni Corporation, aiming to elevate their partnership to broader horizons.
At a seminar attended by representatives from both Windey and Marubeni, the two organizations formalized their commitment to closer cooperation in renewable energy by signing the MoU. Practical exchanges ensued on topics such as green hydrogen, energy storage, and offshore wind power. Team leaders engaged in discussions covering technology, project development, joint initiatives, and localization strategies, setting a robust groundwork for future collaborations, as per Windey's statement.
