Copenhagen Energy has completed its wind measurement strategy for the Northern Luzon offshore wind project in the Philippines.
The developer announced that the strategy has confirmed initial desktop energy production estimates and identified the best technology and setup for onsite wind measurements.
“This confirms the Northern Luzon site, which we are developing with PetroEnergy Resources Corporation, is the absolute best site in the Philippines,” Copenhagen Energy stated.
The strategy was created in collaboration with DNV, enabling the developer to begin verifying site-specific wind data for accurate energy production estimates. Data collection will utilize a combination of onshore met masts and LiDAR instruments.
Copenhagen Energy, in partnership with PetroEnergy Resources Corporation, is developing three offshore wind projects in the Philippines with a total anticipated capacity of 4GW.
