European Energy Secures Contract for 21.6-MW Wind Farm in Saarland, Germany

A/S, a developer headquartered in , has clinched a contract to build a 21.6-megawatt (MW) wind farm in a town within the German state of Saarland.

The agreement stems from a competitive tender initiated by the municipality of Nalbach, aimed at attracting investors for a specific parcel of municipal land, European Energy announced in a press release on Thursday.

The upcoming wind farm will comprise three units of the V172 7.2-MW turbines, highlighting a commitment to leveraging advanced turbine technology for sustainable energy production.

European Energy intends to file the building permit application within the current year, anticipating a swift approval process facilitated by forthcoming accelerated procedures scheduled to take effect next year.

Additionally, the company has pledged to actively engage local residents and the municipality in the project's development, offering opportunities for community involvement. Under the terms of the contract, all revenue generated from the land lease will be directed to the municipality.
