Enertrag SE, a German renewable energy company, has announced the arrangement of a EUR 120 million loan to facilitate the expansion of its energy plants and project development endeavors.
The financing, provided by German lender Commerzbank AG, features a minimum term of at least five years with flexible extension options.
With power plants boasting a combined capacity exceeding 900 MW, Enertrag has seen substantial growth in its development portfolio over the past three years, which now stands at over 18 GW. This portfolio includes 12 GW of wind energy projects and 3 GW each of solar and green hydrogen initiatives.
Commenting on the achievement, Enertrag's CFO, Simon Hagedorn, stated, “Securing this medium-term investment loan is a milestone for the Enertrag growth strategy. We are grateful for the support of our long-standing partners, especially Commerzbank, who significantly assist us in achieving our strategic objectives.”
