Yildirim’s Energy Arm Ventures into Kosovo’s Renewables Market with 109-MW Solar Farm Project

Turkish industrial holding company Yildirim's energy division has marked its foray into 's sector with plans to construct a 109-MW solar farm in the municipality of Drenas.

Announcing its latest venture, Yildirim revealed that the future power-generating capacity will be integrated into its local ferronickel plant, underscoring the company's commitment to sustainable energy practices.

The project was unveiled during a groundbreaking ceremony attended by government officials, as well as representatives from local and international organizations, earlier in May.

Yildirim Energy specializes in energy supply, trading, and production, with operations spanning , Kosovo, North , and Albania. This expansion into Kosovo's renewables market highlights Yildirim's ongoing efforts to diversify its energy portfolio and contribute to the region's sustainable development.
