Onde SA Embarks on Construction of 32-MW Solar Park in Poland

Polish renewable energy-focused general contractor has initiated the construction phase of a groundbreaking project: a 32-MW (PV) park, marking the largest endeavor in its renewable energy development portfolio.

The Park Lewald Wielki complex, representing a significant milestone for Onde SA, is set to be installed at an estimated cost of PLN 85 million (USD 21.3 million/EUR 19.8 million), as confirmed by the company.

Originally slated for a capacity of 25 MWp, the project underwent expansion, resulting in an additional 7 MWp. Anticipated to reach completion by the second quarter of the following year, the construction of Park Lewald Wielki underscores Onde's commitment to advancing renewable energy in .

Pawel Sredniawa, CEO of Onde SA, attributed the commencement of construction to the recent divestment of a 60-MW renewables portfolio. He further hinted at the potential sale of the Park Lewald Wielki project during its construction phase.

“We have cash resources and available external financing, so we would like to start the implementation of at least one more power plant this year and acquire several new projects for our portfolio,” stated Sredniawa, outlining the company's strategic vision for future growth.

Presently, Onde SA boasts an extensive portfolio exceeding 800 MW, with approximately 280 MW comprising development projects undergoing permitting processes. With ambitions to scale up its operations, the company aims to achieve a capacity range of 1.6 GW to 1.8 GW within the next two to three years.
