Obrascon Huarte Lain SA Secures EUR 70 Million Contract for Solar Farm in Spain

Spanish civil engineering and construction firm has clinched a contract valued at over EUR 70 million (USD 75.4m) to develop, commission, and operate a substantial farm in the region of southeastern .

The company, commonly referred to as OHLA, revealed the contract on Tuesday, abstaining from divulging specifics regarding the client or the project itself.

Details regarding the solar farm indicate that it will feature a vast array of 330,344 panels, boasting an anticipated annual output exceeding 400 GWh.

OHLA highlights its significant contribution to Spain's renewable energy landscape, with an installed generation capacity nearing 2,000 MW. This year alone, the company secured a solo contract for the construction and operation of a 100-megawatt solar farm in the Castile and Leon region. Additionally, OHLA is engaged in a construction contract for the 330-megawatt peak (MWp) Renopool solar complex, collaborating with two other construction firms on the project.
