Eneos Renewable Energy Corp Begins Power Generation at 42-MW Wind Park in Miyagi Prefecture

's Corp (ERE), formerly known as JRE, has inaugurated the operation of a 42-megawatt wind park situated in Miyagi prefecture, Northeast Japan.

Dubbed the JRE Miyagi Kami Town Wind Farm, this project was realized through collaboration with local utility Tohoku Electric Power Co Inc (TYO:9506).

Consisting of ten wind turbines, each boasting a capacity of 4.2 MW, this new wind asset is projected to produce approximately 101.5 million kWh annually. This output is sufficient to cater to the yearly energy needs of 23,100 local households and counterbalance 44,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

In a press release, ERE highlighted, “Tohoku Electric Power Network Co Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Japanese electric utility and project partner, will be the sole off-taker of Oritsumedake South's output.”
