OEG Renewable Energy Secures Multi-Year Agreement with Orsted for US Offshore Wind Projects

OEG Renewable Energy (OEGR) has entered into a multi-year framework agreement with Orsted, a prominent player in the offshore wind industry, aimed at supporting Orsted's Northeastern offshore wind endeavors.

Under the terms of the agreement, OEGR's topside division gains exclusivity for all temporary power scopes required by Orsted during the commissioning phase of their projects. The agreement took effect immediately, with OEGR providing temporary power scope to Orsted and 's offshore project, consisting of 8 portable generator sets along with technician support.

Temporary power generators play a crucial role in providing power to turbines during commissioning activities before they are connected to the grid and during maintenance downtime.

OEGR's onshore and offshore teams are tasked with ensuring that the design and installation of these temporary power solutions meet stringent safety and operational standards.

The initial focus of this partnership lies in supporting the 132MW South Fork Wind project, supplying power to Long Island, New York. Additionally, Orsted and Eversource are jointly developing the 704MW Revolution Wind project, aimed at delivering clean energy to and .

John Heiton, Chief Executive Officer of OEG Renewable Energy, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are delighted to have signed this multi-year framework agreement supporting Orsted on its US projects, which will support the expansion of offshore wind in the US and pave the way for future projects.”
