German energy company Trianel and Austrian firm Selina Photovoltaic GmbH have announced the establishment of a collaborative joint venture aimed at advancing ground-mounted solar projects in Austria.
The newly formed entity, named Trianel Energieprojekte Austria GmbH (TEA), will be headquartered in Vienna and helmed by managing directors Egmont Froehlich and Herbert Muders, according to Trianel's announcement on Thursday.
TEA's focus will span the development of both conventional ground-mounted installations and agri-PV systems, with the overarching goal of bolstering municipal electricity supply. As part of the initiative, landowners offering the necessary land for project development will receive lease payments, with potential opportunities for participation in energy yields.
Selina brings its specialized expertise in the planning, construction, and operation of large-scale PV systems for businesses to the joint venture, while Trianel contributes its extensive project development capabilities.
The collaboration between Trianel and Selina signifies a strategic alliance poised to capitalize on the growing demand for solar energy solutions in Austria. By leveraging their combined strengths and resources, the joint venture aims to drive forward the development of sustainable solar infrastructure while fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with local landowners and communities.
