Construction Phase Launched for 1044MW Hai Long Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan

The development team behind the 1044MW Hai Long wind project in has officially initiated its construction phase, marking a significant milestone in the project's progress.

Key preliminary activities, including seabed geophysical and geotechnical surveys, as well as levelling, have been successfully completed. The next phase will be led by the Green Jade turbine installation vessel, which will spearhead construction efforts off the coast of Changhua.

The site is strategically located approximately 50km off the coast of Changhua County in Taiwan. Once completed, the project will boast 73 14MW Gamesa turbines installed on jacket foundations.

Commenting on the project's advancement, a spokesperson for the development team stated, “We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the construction phase for the Hai Long offshore wind project. This milestone underscores our commitment to advancing in Taiwan and marks a significant step forward in our efforts to contribute to the country's energy transition.”
