PNE AG, a leading renewables developer, acting as a power purchase agreement (PPA) broker, has successfully orchestrated the procurement of electricity from 39 wind and solar farms with a collective capacity exceeding 337 megawatts (MW) throughout the year 2023.
In an official statement released on Monday, the German firm disclosed that the completed deals in the past year have bolstered the total count of renewable energy projects supported under its PPA-as-a-Service program to a tally of 107.

Nils Kompe, the head of energy supply services and PPA management at PNE, articulated the company's ambitious outlook, stating, “Further negotiations on the conclusion of PPAs are in the pipeline, so we're anticipating a brokered energy volume of up to 3 terawatt hours (TWh) by the end of the year.”
PNE prides itself on offering comprehensive solutions across the entire life cycle of renewable energy projects, spanning onshore and offshore wind, solar, and green hydrogen initiatives.
Earlier in February, the company achieved a significant milestone by securing permits for two onshore wind projects with a combined capacity of 34.5 MW in the German federal state of Schleswig-Holstein, further solidifying its foothold in the renewable energy landscape.
As the global transition towards sustainable energy intensifies, companies like PNE play a pivotal role in facilitating the adoption of renewable energy sources, driving progress towards a greener and more sustainable future.
