Orsted, a leading renewable energy company, has unveiled its newly elected employee representatives who will serve on the board for the next two years. The four individuals chosen are Benny Gobel, Anne Cathrine Collet Yde (both re-elected), Ian McCalder, and Lara Jewinat.
These appointed members will officially join the Board of Directors following the annual general meeting scheduled for March 5, 2024. Notably, this year marks a significant milestone as Orsted employees outside of Denmark were given the opportunity to both vote and stand for election as board members for the first time. Over 80 candidates from various regions across the globe participated in the campaign for these positions.
Thomas Thune Andersen, Chair of the Board of Directors of Orsted, expressed satisfaction with the diverse pool of candidates, stating, “It's been a pleasure to see the global interest for joining the Board of Directors. It's vital that the board room is as diverse across gender, experience, and culture as possible to achieve the best results, and I extend a warm welcome to the new employee-elected board members.”
