Iqony Solar Energy Solutions GmbH, known as SENS, a German renewable energy services provider, announced today the commencement of the development phase for a portfolio comprising four solar projects in Poland, boasting a combined capacity of 355 megawatts peak (MWp). These initiatives are part of an extensive pipeline targeting up to 1 gigawatt peak (GWp) deployment in the country.
The four ground-mounted facilities are slated for construction in the vicinity of Wrocław, located in western Poland, and will be realized through a collaboration with local developer Solar Energy PV (SEPV).
SENS, a subsidiary of German energy company Iqony GmbH, has established a strong presence in the Eastern European market, with active engagements in Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, and other countries.
In a recent development last month, the Würzburg-headquartered company, in conjunction with the LSG Group, successfully commissioned a 63 MWp solar plant in the northeastern Hungarian village of Senyo, underscoring SENS' commitment to expanding its renewable energy footprint in the region.
