EEW Group Achieves Key Milestone in Hai Long Offshore Wind Project Led by Northland Power

The EEW Group has achieved a significant milestone by successfully loading the initial 12 pin piles for the Hai Long offshore wind project, a 1GW initiative led by Northland Power. The operation took place at the port of Gwangyang in , with plans for the pin piles to be shipped to the port of Tainan in for further processing and eventual installation.

, CEO of Hai Long Offshore Wind Taiwan, commended EEW KPHC's performance in delivering high-quality pin piles, considering it a crucial achievement for both Hai Long and EEW KPHC. He emphasized the importance of this progress, indicating that it signifies the steady advancement of the and underscores EEW KPHC's reliability as a partner and esteemed offshore wind supplier.

Kittelhake acknowledged the significance of the Hai Long project in aiding Taiwan's pursuit of its renewable energy target, aiming to achieve 15 GW of offshore wind capacity between 2026 and 2035. Once completed, the Hai Long project is poised to be one of Taiwan's largest offshore wind ventures, contributing clean energy to the grid and delivering substantial, long-term sustainable value to the local economy.

Kwan-Gyu Tak, Managing Director of , expressed satisfaction with the on-time production and high-quality of the pin piles. He characterized the load-out as the successful culmination of the project, highlighting the excellent working relationship with the Hai Long team and expressing anticipation for future collaborations on large-scale offshore wind projects.
