GE Vernova's Onshore Wind business has secured a substantial agreement to supply wind turbines for Squadron Energy's onshore wind projects in New South Wales, Australia. The deal, finalized in the fourth quarter of 2023 and publicly confirmed after a recent sod-turning ceremony, involves a $2.75 billion green strategic alliance between Squadron Energy and GE Vernova for wind turbine supply.
As part of this strategic partnership, GE Vernova will provide its 6MW wind turbines and engineering, procurement, and construction expertise for Squadron Energy's 414MW Uungula wind farm.

This collaboration extends to the subsequent projects, namely the Spicers Creek and Jeremiah wind farms in New South Wales. All three ventures will benefit from the deployment of GE Vernova's 6.0-164 workhorse turbines, ensuring standardization of grid and project execution elements throughout the portfolio.
The Uungula Wind Farm, featuring 69 units of GE Vernova's 6.0-164 wind turbines, is slated to commence construction in the first quarter of 2024. The agreement also encompasses a five-year, full-service agreement with GE, further solidifying the partnership's commitment to long-term collaboration.

The Jeremiah Wind Farm and Spicers Creek Wind Farm are set to follow a split-scope delivery model, unlocking additional project value. The comprehensive agreement underscores the collaborative efforts of both entities in advancing sustainable energy solutions.
