has reported an unprecedented order intake of nearly 7 gigawatts (GW) during the final quarter of 2023, marking an all-time quarterly high for the company. This substantial figure, totaling 6945 megawatts (MW), encompasses 30 order announcements across diverse regions, including Asia-Pacific, Australia, Europe, Africa, and North America.

The majority of these orders are attributed to wind projects in the United States, further solidifying the country's commitment to renewable energy initiatives. Among the notable orders is a definitive and unconditional contract secured in December to supply Pattern Energy with turbines for the project in New Mexico, boasting a capacity of 1089MW. This order, initially revealed as conditional in August, underscores the growing momentum in the onshore wind sector.

Another significant contribution to Vestas' Q4 success is a 945MW order for an undisclosed wind farm in the US, comprising 210 V163-4.5MW turbines. Additionally, Vestas clinched a 401MW order in December for the West Camp wind project in Navajo County, Arizona, owned by The AES Corporation.

While the United States dominates the order landscape, Vestas has also secured substantial contracts beyond its borders. Independent power producer placed a noteworthy 108MW order for the Witberg wind farm in Western Cape, . In Europe, Vestas celebrated its largest order of the quarter with a 186MW contract for the Pahkakoski project in Finland, indicating the company's global reach and influence.

Vestas has communicated that undisclosed megawatts from the fourth quarter of 2023 will be disclosed in its upcoming 2023 annual report, maintaining transparency in its reporting practices. This exceptional performance in Q4 underscores Vestas' position as a key player in the wind energy sector, as it continues to secure substantial orders globally, contributing significantly to the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure.
